What agents can do

Real fulfillment data, accessible through natural language

Through the fulfillmenttools MCP Server, AI agents query live operational data using plain language. No custom queries, no proprietary API calls. The agent asks, onX translates, and fulfillmenttools responds in real time.

Inventory queries

Check stock levels and availability across every facility in your network. Ask for a specific SKU or filter by location, all in real time.

Product catalog access

Retrieve product information and metadata on demand. Agents pull the records they need without touching the underlying API.

Variant lookup

Query product variants and their attributes directly. From size and color to SKU-level detail, available through a single request.

Agentic workflows

Feed live fulfillment data into automated decision-making. Agents access the inventory and product information they need to act with confidence.

Who it's for

Built for the teams that run commerce operations

The fulfillmenttools MCP Server gives different teams access to the same live operational data, each through the lens of their own work.

Merchandising teams

Access product catalog and variant information on demand to keep listings accurate and complete.

eCommerce platforms

Integrate live inventory and product data into automated workflows across your commerce stack.

Developers

Build agentic commerce applications on top of fulfillmenttools data, using an open standard.

How onX works

The fulfillmenttools MCP Server acts as a protocol adapter between AI agents and the fulfillmenttools backend. It does not implement business logic, infer missing data, or make assumptions. It receives a request, validates it against the onX schema, and passes it through to fulfillmenttools in real time.

When a user asks an agent a question in natural language, the agent interprets the intent and invokes the right tool with structured parameters. onX translates that into the fulfillmenttools API format, the backend processes it against live production data, and the result flows back through the MCP Server. The agent then presents the answer in plain language.

Security and compliance

Built for enterprise trust from the ground up

Agentic access to operational data only works if it is secure by design. Every request through the fulfillmenttools MCP Server runs on authenticated, permission-scoped access, with human oversight built in.

Authenticated access

Every request uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. The agent always acts in the name of a user, never on its own, and implicit flows are disallowed.

Access is limited to what the individual user is allowed to see. The current release is read-only, with no write operations exposed.

Human in the loop

fulfillmenttools performs no autonomous high-impact actions. Users stay the decision-makers, and the agent asks for clarification rather than guessing.

Data residency in Europe

The MCP Server runs in the same region as your tenant, on Google Cloud infrastructure hosted in Europe. Your data stays close to home.

fulfillmenttools is GDPR and ISO certified, bringing enterprise-grade compliance to every interaction through onX.

Transparent by design

Backend errors are returned exactly as received, without modification. The MCP Server never infers, auto-fills, or bypasses validation rules.

Product and platform

What’s an Agentic Order Management System?

An Agentic OMS connects inventory, orders, and fulfillment operations across your entire network and continuously improves decision-making.

Instead of relying on static rules, it uses real-time data and adaptive logic to automatically optimize routing, availability, and order execution.

Product and platform

How is fulfillmenttools different from a traditional OMS?

Traditional OMS platforms focus on order processing and rule-based orchestration.

fulfillmenttools goes further by combining real-time visibility, intelligent decision-making, and continuous optimization into a single Order Management System.

It enables retailers to move from reactive operations to proactive, data-driven fulfillment.

Integration and IT

How does fulfillmenttools integrate with existing systems?

fulfillmenttools is API-first and integrates seamlessly with commerce platforms, ERP systems, WMS, POS, and external partners.

It acts as the central orchestration layer across your fulfillment ecosystem, without requiring replacement of existing systems.

Integration and IT

How long does it take to implement fulfillmenttools?

Implementation depends on your setup, but most retailers go live in weeks, not months.

Thanks to the modular architecture and configuration-driven logic, teams can start small and scale quickly without complex development projects.

Integration and IT

Why do I need an OMS if I already have an ERP?

ERP systems aren’t built for real-time, multi-location fulfillment decisions.

fulfillmenttools adds a dedicated orchestration layer that enables accurate inventory visibility, intelligent routing, and adaptive fulfillment logic across distributed networks.
