Order Management System (OMS)

What is an Order Management System (OMS)

An order management system, OMS for short, is a software or software service, also called SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), which processes and manages incoming orders regardless of industry or sector. Retailers and wholesalers use order management systems to organise customer orders, maintain inventory, orchestrate shipping and packaging, and synchronise different sales channels; see also Distributed Order Management System (DOMS).
