High transportation costs and long delivery times for customers in Switzerland, as they were supplied from the central warehouse in Germany

No possibility to ship online orders from the stores, as the Swiss stores were not equipped to ship online orders

Modernization of the existing system landscape and development of a modern and scalable architecture to meet customer requirements

The fulfillmenttools solution

Activating the store network for Ship-from-Store and Click Reserve
- While placing orders in the online shop, customers can choose between shipping (ship-from-store) and pick-up (click reserve)
- Shipping orders are picked by store employees in one of ten selected shipping stores and sent to the customer
- Customers can select all stores to pick up an order and benefit from flexible service. This also increases the relevance of the stores, as customers are encouraged to visit them

Intelligent distribution of orders by the DOMS
- The DOMS distributes the orders to the store network in the best possible way based on individual routing rules
- Routing is based primarily on the stock availability of the ordered items and the capacity utilization of the stores
- If the items ordered are not all in stock in the same store, the order is split between several stores (order split)

More efficiency through our solutions in the stores
- The Order Fulfillment solution simplifies the picking, packing and shipping of orders in the stores for employees
- Returns are recorded via our Returns Management. Customers can return items to the
stores. This increases store relevance

Expandable SaaS solution based on MACH
- The flexibility of our solution enables BLACKOUT to gradually introduce additional stores as ship-from-store locations
- Routing rules can be flexibly adapted by BLACKOUT at any time and additional modules can be added
- Modern API-first architecture enables easy integration of the fulfillmenttools platform into existing infrastructure
